Same metric, every team
Each team asks in its own words. The semantic layer resolves all three to one plan, proven by an identical fingerprint and identical results. Below, the raw source systems show why this used to be impossible.
The supply chain ontology
Six business entities, five relationships and their hierarchies. Every source system's keys are mapped to these entities, and every metric is defined against them. Select an entity to see its attributes and source mappings.
Metric catalog
Canonical metrics, each with one definition, an accountable owner, a version and the dimensions the ontology allows. The conversational layer can only answer with these.
Governance
Policies the answer engine enforces, the audit trail of every question asked in this session, and lineage from source systems to each metric.

Why this exists
Ask “what was on-time delivery last quarter?” of each source system and you get a different answer, because each computes it differently. The same supplier also carries a different key in every system. The ontology and certified metrics remove both problems.
One supplier, four identities
The ontology's crosswalk resolves each source key to a single Supplier entity.
